Once again, thousands of chowda-heads descended on CT to determine the best New England clam chowder, traditional chowder, creative chowder and soup/bisque in New England. The weather was ideal, the perfect "clammy" weather just right for comfort food.
While months of planning goes into this event. Hundreds of hours of cooking by all the chefs. Tons of sponsors working to promote the event and their products to wonderful consumers and it's all over in four hours. Those four hours are incredible with so much packed into them and we couldn't do it without all our incredible volunteers - thanks to all who pitched in as we lived up to Yankee Magazine nominating us as a top event of the season!
But is Chowdafest really over? There's the Chowda Trail which you can go on to visit all the amazing restaurants who competed. There's our upcoming sister event called The Great Mac & Chili Challenge too! Of course, there's our Chowda Quest as we continue to search for the best chowder, soup and bisque for our 2017 competition. Until then, chowda on!
