OK, I'm a little behind in my blog by a week or so but I have a good excuse - it's Chowdafest time! That means a lot of time preparing for the big day on Oct 11th. Busy working with the chefs, the park, the health department, our new magazine that comes out in just a week, and so much more.
I'm very excited about commissioning a wonderful artist, Wendy Marciano to design our trophies. Each one is handcrafted and one of a kind reflecting the handcrafted chowder, soup & bisque made by one of a kind chefs. They're truly remarkable pieces of art that will be proudly displayed at the winner's locations for sure.
The championship trophies even light up!
These nautically themed trophies symbolize the New England nature of our event. There are four large championship trophies and 8 smaller trophies for our second and third place winners. We're also making them for our "bowl" of fame inductees too. We'll have them showcased at a separate booth until we award them after the event. Hope to see you there!
