It's been two months since we last posted a blog and that's because we've been on the road on our quest to find the best for Chowdafest!
We're recognized as New England's best culinary competition yet when we look at our event, New England states weren't well represented. So in our travels we got two hidden gems from the Green Mountain State of VT to enter. Then decadent restaurants from ME and NH. Off to Boston to get the reigning Harborfest chowder champion to enter and then finally to Rhode Island. It only makes sense that they defend Rhode Island clam chowder. Of course, that meant going south to New York, not a New England state but who better to defend Manhattan clam chowder right?
The reason why all roads lead to Chowdafest is that we're bringing our event back to Westport CT at Sherwood Island State Park. We even have our own exit (#18 off (-95). This idyllic shoreline location will be perfect to host 40 marquee restaurants stretching from Manhattan to Maine. Add our incredible sponsors and we got ourselves a destination event.
Stay tuned to announcements every month leading up to October 11th.
